From Bali by Ferry ( 3 in 1 ticket )
You can arrange this by yourself but it’s a very time consuming trip. There is the possibility to buy a ticket at any travel agent in Bali to Gili Trawangan. With this ticket they pick you up in your hotel and bring you all the way to Gili Trawangan . Perama tours is the most reliable one. There are other companies who offer the same thing but you have to be lucky. There are good as well as bad reports from fellow travellers. If you are unlucky they will hassle you the whole way to buy a return ticket, and if you don’t want one it can be a really annoying experience. You can easily buy your return ticket on the island. No need to make reservations.
Let us take care of your transport
At the airport a car will pick you up and will bring you to the harbour at Bangsal. This will take about 45 min. along a scenic coastal road. From here a speedboat will bring you to Gili Trawangan in less than 10 minutes. When you arrive on the island you can take the local taxi, a horse cart (cidomo) to Karma Kayak. They are always stand by at the harbour. If you do want us to arrange this all for you let us know and we’ll take care of it.
Be aware !
Bangsal is known for it’s pushy sellers. They can be very intimidating. Nothing really bad will happen, they just try to sell you their things in a annoying way. They will tell you that you can’t buy anything on Gili Trawangan but none of this is true. Airplane tickets, suntan lotion, bikini’s and all necessities for your stay are for sale on the island And probably they will try to sell you a charter boat by saying there is no public boat is leaving soon. Just go straight to the official ticket office, which is located at the beach, They can tell you how many people there are waiting and how long it will take for the next boat to depart. It aint too bad if you just stay relaxed. If the boat is not leaving yet, have a coffee or a cold drink in a small local warung called Hakuna Matata. It’s past the ticket office at the end of the harbour. There it’s more quiet. |
